Barbara Peng, CEO of Business Insider, has been named on the A100 List, which features the top, most impactful Asian Pacific leaders shaping culture and society today.
Curated annually by Gold House, the A100 honors trailblazers across business, media, entertainment, and beyond. This year's list includes icons and extraordinary leaders driving change and breaking new ground — from leaders like Perplexity AI co-founder and CEO Aravind Srinivas and Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy, to cultural change makers like Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker Ang Lee and Charli xcx.
Since becoming CEO a year and a half ago, Barbara has sharpened Business Insider's strategy and focus on business, tech, and innovation journalism — driving increased reader engagement through a fresh strategy and a revamped subscriptions model. In the past year alone, Peng brought on a new Editor in Chief, led Business Insider to launch a first-of-its-kind AI-powered search, as well as a new homepage featuring Business Insider's award-winning coverage.
"I'm thrilled to be named one of the A100's most impactful Asian Pacific leaders," said Peng. "It's an absolute honor and privilege to be recognized alongside such powerhouse leaders and change makers."
Before becoming CEO, Barbara served as President of Business Insider, and before that, President of Insider Intelligence, where she led the high-impact merger with eMarketer. She regularly speaks at high-profile events discussing the future of media, and is especially passionate about the transformative role of AI and the critical need for protections in journalism.
