The 2025 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is nearly upon us, with over 3,000 performances set to take place at the famous Worthy Farm over four days. Luckily, you don't have to battle past 200,000 other revellers to get the best seats in the house — we have all the information on how to watch Glastonbury live streams, with TV channels, free options, and worldwide streaming all explained.
As ever, the Glastonbury line-up represents a massive and diverse array of artists, with all genres represented across the multitude of stages and tents. There always have to be some headliners, however, and at the top of this year's bill are indie stalwarts The 1975, grizzled folky Neil Young, pop princess Olivia Rodrigo, and, in the traditional Sunday legends slot, the one and only Rod Stewart.
Outside of those huge acts, there's a veritable who's who of music masters of today and years gone by. Alanis Morissette is celebrating 30 years of her seminal 'Jagged Little Pill' album with her Glasto debut on the Pyramid Stage, Charli XCX is following up her breakout Brat Summer by headlining the Other Stage, and The Prodigy will close out Sunday night with an inevitably emotional performance — their first at the festival since the death of Keith Flint.
Busta Rhymes, Doechii, Ezra Collective, Noah Kahan, Wet Leg, The Libertines… the list goes on! Once again, the UK's free-to-air broadcaster, the BBC, will have extensive coverage of the event. Below we detail its plans, where you can watch Glastonbury live streams online, and what you need to do if you're outside the UK and still want to enjoy the show.
How to watch Glastonbury in the UK
The BBC is presenting music fans with more than 90 hours of performances across the five main Glastonbury stages: Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies, and The Park (see the full schedule of those stages at the bottom of this article).
In order to pick and choose the acts you want to see, you'll need access to its free online BBC iPlayer streaming platform, which is available on laptops, smartphones and most other streaming devices you can think of — although you should have a valid TV Licence to stream performances live and on catchup). Pyramid Stage sets will be available to stream live in Ultra HD.
In previous years, some Glastonbury performances have also been available to stream globally on the BBC website, but we've seen nothing from the broadcaster to say whether that will be the case in 2025.
How to watch Glastonbury from anywhere
Frustratingly, if you try to watch the BBC iPlayer when outside the UK, the platform will simply refuse to function. In order to watch the Glastonbury Festival coverage when overseas, you'll need a VPN (Virtual Private Network), which can spoof the IP address of your laptop, smartphone, or streaming device so that it looks like you're back in the UK.
Of all the VPNs we've tested, NordVPN is our current headliner! You can see all the reasons why in our NordVPN review, with its speed, ease-of-use, and watertight cybersecurity among its plus points. We like that it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, which allows you to cancel within the first month without any quibbles from the company.
How to watch Glastonbury with a VPN
- Sign up for a VPN if you don't already have one.
- Install it on the device you're using to watch the show.
- Turn it on and set it to the UK.
- Navigate to the BBC iPlayer and create an account if necessary.
- Enjoy the music.
Where is Glastonbury Festival located?
Glastonbury Festival is located in the small rural village of Pilton, near the town of Glastonbury, Somerset, in England. That's around 130 miles southwest of London. It's set on a number of farms in the Pilton area — primarily Worthy Farm, which belongs to festival organizer Michael Eavis.
How much were tickets to Glastonbury 2025?
General admission tickets to this year's Glastonbury Festival cost £373.50, which is around $500. That's compared to a price of £125 in 2005, 20 years ago. The ticket price includes the cost of car parking and camping.
Are Oasis playing at Glastonbury 2025?
No, the Gallagher brothers have stated that they do not intend to appear at Glastonbury Festival this year.
Oasis is set to embark on its massive reunion tour in July of this year (don't miss our Oasis tickets guide), which prompted some fans to speculate that the band may also play at Glastonbury Festival for the first time since 2004. That was only fuelled by the fact that there are several high-profile slots in the line-up that are still TBA. The current favorites to fill those secret sets are Pulp, Lewis Capaldi, Haim, and Lorde.
Why is there no Glastonbury in 2026?
2026 will be a so-called 'fallow year' at Worthy Farm, meaning that no Glastonbury Festival will take place. Fallow years take place every five years or so in order to give the rural land time to recover. The last official fallow year was in 2018, although Glastonbury was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
