Reem Makhoul is a Senior Managing Producer on the investigative video team. Before that, she ran the Still Standing show for two years. Prior to joining Business Insider in 2022, she was a video journalist with The New York Times in Jerusalem and New York, and a staff video journalist for The Wall Street Journal in New York, covering ISIS, refugees and Middle East issues.
Born in the Galilee, she speaks fluent Arabic, Hebrew and English, and is using those language skills to refine Business Insider's translation resources. She also publishes children's books in colloquial Arabic.
